RFID account recharge a must to escape penalty

Delhi: Non-compliance to RFID will be fine
From September 13 midnight, vehicles entering Delhi without recharged RFID tags will have to pay twice the toll amount as fine. This was decided at an EPCA meeting on Tuesday where it was revealed that 3.4 lakh vehicles had already been tagged at Delhi’s borders .

Final deadline for RFID tags on Aug 23 midnight; violators to be fined
Both the SDMC and the EPCA have made it clear that the deadline for pre-registration of RFID tags and recharge of tags will not be extended beyond the midnight of August 23, 2019. Earlier, the transporters and transporters' union had requested the SDMC Mayor, Chairman's Committee and the EPCA for extension of deadlines for entry of commercial vehicles into Delhi with RFID tags/sufficient recharge amount from midnight of August 23.

FASTags Mandatory For Toll Payment On Highways Starting December 1
On Monday, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) announced that starting December 1, 2019, all the lanes at toll plazas on national highways will be specifically FASTag lanes. Further in accordance with the National Highway Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, in a case when non-FASTag users pass through these dedicated exclusive FASTag lanes, they will be charged double the toll amount.

No RFID tag? Pay double the toll to enter Delhi post-August 16th!
Starting August 16th, commercial vehicles not carrying RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags will have to shell out double the toll to enter the national capital. The directions were issued by the Supreme Court-appointed panel EPCA (Environmental Pollution (Prevent and Control) Authority). Commercial vehicles entering Delhi from any of the 13 toll-plazas in the city, which do not have the RFID tag, post-August 16th, will have to shell out twice the Environmental Compensation Charge (ECC) along with the municipal toll tax. The fines will gradually increase four and six times for the corresponding second and third week after the set deadline.
